Sunday letters: Flag vote, ceremony make me proud to be a South Carolinian

I’ve been a reasonably happy resident in South Carolina for 24 years, but now I’m proud to say I live in South Carolina. And the simple six-minute ceremony with no introductions, speeches, prayers, band, etc. was just right.
