Tuesday letters: Lowering Confederate flag won’t solve any problems
So it’s done. The war is over, and those who matter have won.
No doubt South Carolina will experience an economic boom unprecedented in her history, ideally so much that the income tax can be eliminated. I expect Dylann Roof will receive an award from the NAACP for his efforts.
If only we could leave the pole and the fence right where they are so one side can celebrate its victory and the other can commemorate its defeat.
