Wednesday letters: Will unity over Confederate flag transfer to other issues?

Now that the Confederate flag has come down in a show of S.C. unity and an effort to do what many agreed was the morally right thing to do, will that same effort continue?

Will those same people take a moral stand for the unborn babies in the womb who will have their lives taken legally in abortion? Will they stand with Christians who are losing their livelihoods because of their religious convictions of marriage between a man and a woman? Will they take a stand for these morally right issues?

I frankly don’t see it in the Democratic leadership. How sad. I pray that changes.
