Letters: Donald Trump is like a porn star trying to do PG

Donald Trump’s style reminds me of a porn star who goes from adult films to PG movies. His in-your-face verbal combat I’m sure stems from battling with people in the private sector. At first he was interesting because he spoke off the cuff, putting any challengers down before they had a chance to attack him; it’s far better to do the punching than to be the one getting punched.

After being wounded in Vietnam while serving with the Marines and needing back surgery, I spent six months in the Brooklyn Naval Hospital in New York, the closest state to my home state with a military hospital, and hung out with New Yorkers. They were a wild bunch. Trump’s personality comes from living in the New York state of mind.

In the Republican debate, I saw Trump acting like a rich, spoiled, petulant child who will pick up his marbles and go home if he doesn’t get his own way. His attack on Megyn Kelly showed that he isn’t a polished speaker. What he should understand is that he is supposed to be running to represent all of the people, not just the ones who agree with him.
