Letters: Clinton handled secrets recklessly

It is a sad day in America when an Army private is more aware of the importance of safeguarding classified information than a Cabinet secretary. While media focus is on Hillary Clilnton’s cavalier and flippant “What difference does it make?” attitude, they are overlooking the fact she was cleared to handle top secret material, and when she left office she signed documents acknowledging her continued responsibility toward the program’s contents.

In spite of this reckless endangerment to our national security, her greatest official failure in office, she still believes she is responsible enough for the job of president.

What all Americans should really be asking themselves is “Why do Democrats continue to back such an unfit individual for the highest office in the land?” Is their lust for political power and the desire to maintain a grip on the Oval Office stronger than any loyalty to what is best for America? How far must America fall for the achievement of political gain by the Democratic Party?
