Letters: Let’s show the world we’re not all naysayers

Kudos to Jonathan Blanton of Gaffney for an outstanding, common-sense, well-thought-out and delivered letter (“Think Clinton’s bad? Look at the others,” Sept. 8).

He points out the qualities and abilities of Hillary Clinton in an honest and factual way and compares hers to the empty rhetoric with no factual basis from some of the Republican wannabes. Letters like his will make 2016 a very interesting year.

We need more such letters. We should show that South Carolina can be objective and positive and not just a state full of naysayers. Wasn’t it Spiro Agnew who coined the phrase, “Nattering nabobs of negativism”? We are better than that throughout our great state. Let’s publish more of the positive as often as we find it.
