Letters: A woman can’t be a biological father

I am still trying to wrap my head around the decision to place a woman’s name as the father on a birth certificate. As my biology teacher daughter says, we all know it is biologically impossible for her to be the father. Certainly there are legal avenues possible to protect the children should something happen to the biological mother. Can this be all about what the women want as opposed to what the children need? I’d hate to have to try to explain their insistence to the children once those children actually reach the age of reason.
