Letters: Micro turbines could pay for rebuilt dams
The regrettable failure of dams in the Gills Creek watershed provides a valuable opportunity for the owners of these dams to rebuild and include micro hydroelectric generating turbines, now a widely used technology in many parts of North American and Europe.
The sale of electricity generated by these micro turbines can be used to finance the maintenance of the structures in perpetuity.
