Signs are going up on I-20 for Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Many thanks to state Transportation Commissioner John Hardee, U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, Richland County Council, Jim Hamilton and many others for their support of this effort. Thousands of veterans and their families will be pleased to see this signage, which will simplify finding the cemetery.

All Americans should visit the cemetery to see the great work being done by Gene Linxwiler and his staff in maintaining this magnificent facility for those who served our country and their families.

Almost 800 are being buried annually, and the number is increasing. All citizens should be proud of this dignified, reverent facility.
