Letters: Let Spurrier take over as USC president

I offer a modest proposal to the USC Board of Trustees that should please almost everyone: Appoint Steve Spurrier president and let him live free in the President’s House on the Horseshoe, in addition to earning his controversial $1.3 million, in exchange for raising money for academic scholarships for the poor and needy students who are not NCAA-level athletes. Send Harris Pastides packing so that he can fulfill his first love: serving on the NCAA Division 1 Board of Directors and NCAA Steering Committee Studying Autonomy.
