I would like to express my appreciation to the Transportation Department for its excellent job repairing the roads after the floods. The employees and contractors have worked day and night; roads that I thought would take months to repair have been repaired in weeks. These people have done a fantastic job and continue to work hard to get the rest of the roads repaired. It will take a while for them to finish all the work that needs to be completed, so please be patient.

Also let’s hope our legislators realize that more money is needed for our crumbling roads and will pass a gas tax bill that will help fix them.

If you see a Transportation Department worker, please be sure to say thank you.
