Republicans hold all statewide offices in South Carolina, majorities in House and Senate, both U.S. Senate offices and six of seven congressional offices. The unemployment rate is higher in South Carolina than in much of the nation, our median income is below the national average, our schools are subpar, and we lead the nation in women killed by men.

Republicans have fought Medicaid for the working poor, they ignore roads and other infrastructure, and many urge war at every opportunity.

All Republicans appear to care about is controlling women’s rights, minorities (especially immigrants), gays and those of certain religions and passing budgets that will starve our civilization.

It is time for a change.
