Letters: Jihadists serve devil, not God

The fanatic jihadists who conducted the Paris massacre were heard to exclaim, “Allahu Akbar!” (“God is great!” in Arabic) as they took the lives of so many non-combatant innocents. But I heard instead, as I have heard before, “Shaytanu Akbar!” (“Satan is great!”).

The traditional deity they assumed they were serving in their murderous campaign was in fact that master of deception, the devil. They were deceived and will pay a price equally awful — in the beyond. Small comfort, if comfort at all.
