Letters: Angry white guys bigger threat than ISIS

U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan demands that President Obama pause accepting Muslim Syrian refugees until Obama can certify that they are not terrorists.

While he is waiting on his demands, I suggest Mr. Ryan get with the National Rifle Association and find a way to certify that no more angry white guys will shoot up grade schools, move theaters and churches. There is a far greater danger of terrorist attacks from angry white guys in this country than from ISIS terrorists. But then, Mr. Ryan and his posse are more interested in fear mongering than facts, aren’t they?

Another suggestion for Mr. Ryan and friends comes from a guy named Jeremiah: “Do no harm to the widow, the orphan, the stranger among you.” Would Jeremiah have left out Muslim Syrian refugees from such consideration?

And all of this comes in time for the Christmas season. Merry WWJD, y’all.
