Monday letters: USC trustee should be removed
As an alumnus of the University of South Carolina, I am appalled that a board member for the university, Orangeburg attorney Charles Williams, has been charged with the wholesale slaughter of federally endangered birds-of-prey and the rampant breaking of federal law (“Dead birds-of-prey at Orangeburg plantation prompt federal charges,” Dec. 18).
I would humbly ask that the powers that be and the whole of Gamecock nation use whatever means necessary to force his immediate and permanent removal from the board of trustees, as his continued presence on the USC Board of Trustees is a black eye that we certainly do not need.
