Letters: Graham shouldn’t bash conservatives
I am getting a little tired of hearing Sen. Lindsey Graham blasting both Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz. They are the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination for president. It almost seems Graham has hurt feelings from his failed campaign.
South Carolina is a fairly conservative state, but we also generally select winners. These so-called moderate Republicans that the establishment is pursuing will not beat Hillary Clinton. Sen. Graham only needs to look back at his good buddy Sen. John McCain, and Mitt Romney, to see this.
Those in the establishment asked for the House, to slow down President Obama’s agenda, and they got it. Yet he continued to steamroll the Republicans in Congress. So they asked for the Senate, and we gave it to them, only to be steamrolled again. Now it’s time for a true reformer to see if he or she can get it done. I’m grateful for Sen. Graham’s service, but I don’t need him telling me who I need to vote for again.
