Thanks to Rep. Chip Limehouse of Charleston, the only sensible solution to the Confederate flag controversy has been suggested. The flag and other Confederate memorabilia should be moved to the North Charleston location of the Confederate submarine Hunley and named the S.C. Museum of the Confederacy. A Charleston location makes perfect sense, being it’s where the war began.

The remaining artifacts of wars in which South Carolinians participated could be relocated to the S.C. Military Museum, which is located near Williams-Brice Stadium on Bluff Road.

The State Museum would then have the Relic Room space for future expansion.
