Letters: America needs a praying president
Along with masses of South Carolinians, I attended the Donald Trump talk at Harmon’s Tree Farm in Lexington County.
For many of the disaffected, the New Your billionaire reaches into their hopes, fears and visions. For others, he comes across as a false apostle of fear, divisiveness and distrust.
After careful analysis of his spoken and written words, I have concluded that while he is gifted in communication and in the use of the media, there simply is a lack of studied substance on what America’s real challenges are.
The next president must be a man or women who starts the morning with a prayer for help and ends it asking for forgiveness in the unfinished business of the day.
