Letters: Chapin mayor shouldn’t have chased off police chief

Chapin Mayor Skip Wilson

Chapin Mayor Skip Wilson should be ashamed of himself for the bad publicity he has brought into our community. He is a rude, unfair, deceitful bully who has cost us money by an out-of-court settlement for terminating an employee.

This time, though, he has chosen the wrong person to try and push around. The entire community stands with former Police Chief Troy Crump, who is an upstanding citizen and long-time resident with high standards, strong ethics and morals and a faithful Christian man. We can’t help but wondering why the mayor wants this most honest and ethical Christian man out of his way.

Perhaps it’s time for the mayor to take a small suspension without pay or go on a long vacation. I pray that his downfall will not harm others he tries to drag down with him.
