Letters: Fireworks are an unneeded nuisance
I couldn’t believe that the noise study for the new baseball stadium in Columbia didn’t take the fireworks into consideration. What a joke.
If you don’t think fireworks will affect a surrounding neighborhood, just ask anybody who lives near the Blowfish Stadium on Ball Park Road in Lexington. We could perhaps deal with the lights and extra traffic, but the fireworks are more than just a nuisance. They keep people awake and terrify animals. I do not see why fireworks have to be a part of a baseball game. They are totally unnecessary.
