Letters: There’s a simple solution for Richland County’s inmate release problem
Why in the world would Seth Rose and other Richland County Council members consider paying for taxis to transport released inmates from the county jail to downtown when there are much simpler and cheaper alternatives?
The obvious answer to this non-problem seems to me to be contracting with COMET or, even better, changing the release times of detainees to coincide with COMET’s schedule, which has four stops at the jail daily.
