Letters: We could use civility, responsibility

KRT

People who feel that the world is divided should look to history to see that it is not. Cleavages in popular sentiment tend to be temporary and a result of groups of people with like-minded interests failing to realize that.

Politicians need to start paying attention to people who till fields, put parts together, build bridges, roads and buildings, write code and teach, and people who create jobs but don't mind paying a decent wage or paying their own taxes to make sure that everyone lives decently.

Bring back responsibility and civility.
