Some politicians say we can’t close our borders or limit immigration from certain parts of the world or bomb strategic targets where civilians may be present or surveil certain gathering places for one reason: “That is not who we are.”

Our adversaries bomb, shoot and kill civilians. They admit they use open borders to infiltrate their terrorists. They crucify civilians, even children and a priest on Good Friday. They kidnap girls from a Christian school and sell them as sex slaves.

We do nothing because “that is not who we are.”

Well, who are we? Our adversaries play tackle, and we play touch. They play hardball, and we play softball. I believe we are fools who elect idiots to tell us who we are not.
