Letters: Haley needs to focus on doing her job

All the roads and bridges are repaired from the 1,000-year flood, domestic violence is under control, there are no more drunk drivers on our roads, all school children are getting a quality education in the public schools, there are no murders or robberies in South Carolina, and people make enough money to afford to live. That must be the case.

Why else would Gov. Nikki Haley have left the state to be a tag-a-long with then-presidential candidate Marco Rubio?

I thought she was hired by the taxpayers of South Carolina to be a full-time employee. Did she take vacation time to be with Rubio, or maybe sick days as any other state employee would be required to do under similar circumstances?

The governor needs to stay in South Carolina and do the job she is paid to do. Then maybe some of these problems can be taken care of.
