Letters: Question all candidates closely
I believe that we should give the closest scrutiny to the candidates running for offices closest to the people. If they absolutely do not believe in any taxes, ask them how they expect to pay for the infrastructure that we all need and use. If they tell you that lowering taxes creates a trickle-down impact on the economy, ask them why Louisiana and Kansas are about to go bankrupt.
Check those who wish to represent you. Check their web pages, their tweets and their Facebook pages. If you don’t agree with them, tell them, and if you do agree, also tell them. If they are sincere about representing us, they will respond.
Please question the new people running as well as those who have been in office for many terms. We do not get many chances to be heard, so let’s take advantage of these next several months to contact those who want to represent us and tell them how to truly represent us.
