Letters: Refugees’ sponsors should take responsibility for them
The federal government suppresses a Christian’s right to mention Jesus Christ and his teachings in school and disputes Jesus’ teaching, yet it advocates through its surrogates that it is a Christian’s duty to assist it in a Muslim resettlement problem that was precipitated by the miserable failure of its political Muslim “Arab Spring.”
That bungling caused anarchy in the Arab Muslim world and inundated Europe with displaced Muslims. Europe is being blown up, so our government in desperation turns to “Christian charity” to rectify its political ineptness.
Folks who bring refugees here should be fully responsible for them. The Good Samaritan was: He provided care and full financial responsibility for a needy person. If refugees are so safe, shouldn’t sponsors insist on assuming full responsibility for those they bring here?
Syrian refugees are overwhelmingly Muslim. Muslims are clear risks to America.
Christians can voluntarily assist others by assuming personal and financial responsibility for their refugees, not compelling non-Christians to subsidize their charity through taxes.
