Monday letters: How to make SC roads safer, squared

More than 20 years ago, South Carolina discontinued vehicle safety inspections. Every day I see vehicles on our roads that are unsafe. But the Legislature is not interested in bringing back the annual vehicle safety inspections.

Inspections would get unsafe vehicles off our roads and provide a revenue stream to help fix our deplorable roads.
