Members of the Senate Medical Affairs Committee failed the people they represent. Six of the 17 did not even show up to vote, and seven who did show up voted against helping people gain access to critical medicine at zero tax liability. The committee rejected the most conservative medical marijuana bill in any state.

Sen. Tom Davis spearheaded the effort to give patients access to a plant that has an unbelievable number of benefits with very few side effects. If you have friends or relatives with Crohn’s, Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, migraines or PTSD, tell them their elected officials are perfectly happy with the debilitating opiates and other horrific pills their doctor is legally killing them with. No one has ever overdosed on marijuana.
