Letters: What if landlords lived next door?

I applaud Kit Smith and the Columbia City Council for addressing the issue of nuisance rental property. Need proof of the problems? Just ride west on Blossom Street from Holly to Harden, and you’ll see many examples.

If all tenants and landlords were responsible, an ordinance would not be necessary. My question for landlords is this: Would you want to live next door to your rental property?
