Letters: It’s the party, stupid!

The 2016 election cycle, with its super delegates and delegates, reveals a truth that has been there all along: The party is in control. The voter does not count. Whether it is Democrat or Republican, it is all the same. The party makes the rules, and everything it does is OK because the rules say so.

The Russian Revolution of 1917 put the party (Communists) in control, and the people lost their freedom. The National Socialist Party (Nazi) in Germany in 1933 did the same thing.

The United States has two parties, but they use the same tactics. The people in power have disenfranchised those of us in the bottom. We have lost our freedom. The party always wins.
