Letters: Trump still better than Clinton

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump

The Republican Party, at least as a conservative party, has been dead a long time. Selling out, giving in, no spine.

When was the last time you saw a liberal sell out to a conservative principle? Never? Liberals don’t sell out; they belittle those who oppose them until they get what they want. Why do you think Donald Trump has done so well? Is it because conservatives like him? Of course not. It’s because they see him as someone who won’t buckle under pressure.

He was my 18th choice out of 17 choices. But I will run, not walk, to the polls to vote for him, because he is infinitely better than Dirty Hillary or Socialist Bernie. Conservative pundits like Glenn Beck just don’t get it: A no-show for Trump is the same as a vote for a woman who would sell her soul, and probably already has, to the devil for a dollar. Talk about the moral low ground.

The sad thing isn’t that Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee; the sad thing is that 45 percent of this country can’t wait to vote for Hillary Clinton, assuming she’s not indicted first. Two characters without character. What a choice.
