Letters: Why are our roads deteriorating so fast?
Cars are not causing our road problem; they are much lighter than they used to be. The problem is 18-wheelers. There are more of them on our roads, and they are allowed to carry more weight.
Has the Transportation Department reviewed there specifications for construction of roads? I-77 should not have deteriorated as soon as it did,
