Letters: Schools can sort out transgender rules
I think it would help the transgender debacle if each student registered a bathroom choice with the principal. In this way a student could not use an opposite-sex restroom on a dare or whim.
Would it be politically incorrect to have transgender stalls in both boys’ and girls’ restrooms? I think so; because restrooms are places where privacy is sought. In any case, a non-student in a school other than a teacher should never be allowed in a student bathroom. I honestly think school administrators and guidance counselors armed with this information can handle their own school’s situation without lawmakers getting involved.
