Letters: I-26/US-1 interchange looks like a dump

Having lived in the area since 1984, I have often been dismayed with the condition of the I-26 interchange at U.S. 1. This is a main interchange to downtown Columbia. It always looks like a trash dump.

Whoever is responsible for its maintenance has lost sight of how to help make this area as beautiful. (For inspiration, see the Lexington Hospital interchange — a beautiful welcoming to Lexington, West Columbia and downtown Columbia.) Who is responsible?
