Letters: Bathroom debate ignores dangers
Liberalism again attacks what is proven, working and established. The latest political-correctness fad disrespects safety, purity and modesty. Untested, unproven social experiments should not repeal the wisdom of centuries of cultural tradition and behavior.
Allowing open access to bathrooms for transgender people also allows any deviate, any pervert to enter — peeping toms, creepers, exhibitionists, thieves, rapists, kidnappers or child predators. Violence looms.
In recent years, USC installed added security measures to protect students from predators and thieves. Is all that protection suddenly unnecessary? Do young children need less protection than collegians?
God created us male and female. Denying reality can’t last. Gender-identity confusion might be linked to childhood confusion, mental-emotional issues, inadequate gender models, self-hatred, chemical imbalance, abusive homes, spirit-world influence or strong fleshly desires. Transgender individuals deserve better than lifelong disorientation.
