Remove all flags from Citadel chapel

Outsiders are now complaining about the Confederate flag flown in The Citadel’s chapel.

I have a strong opinion on the matter, but it is not restricted to the Confederate flag.

While flags can unite people, they can also divide people. The house of God is open to all. Certainly any church or place of worship has the right to display anything it wishes, but I have the right to reject it as improper.

I would prefer to see all flags removed from the chapel, including the U.S. flag.

It gives me great pride to see my country’s flag flying, but no flag has a place in God’s house, even if it is at a military college.

As a believer and follower of Christ, I put God above everything else. God is the father of everyone, not just one country, state or group, and he deserves our undivided attention and worship in his house.
