Letters: End the evil of boxing

Boxing is a blood sport, an activity whose sole purpose has been to injure opponents as severely as possible.

It has no effective tactical properties, as compared to jujitsu for example, and it should be discouraged.

Muhammad Ali rose above this. Let his life be the beginning of boxing’s demise.
