Letters: Foreign travel not worth the risks

The families and friends of people attempting to travel outside our country need to speak up against it. Americans are being kidnapped or killed at frightening numbers. Even in friendly countries, we Americans are only wanted for our money, and we are despised by many countries. My brother who made his living selling medical equipment internationally has quit traveling overseas at considerable cost to his family.

I would strongly advise any parents to urge school authorities to cancel any school trips outside this country. Whether it is a beautiful paradise like Bermuda or a sightseeing trip to Germany, the criminals are waiting to harm our citizens.
