Letters: Improvement on race depends on changed hearts

We are all racists. To deny that fact is to deny our humanity.

Thankfully, most of us have learned to judge others “not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

However, others of us have found racism to be a way to gain money, power, political advantage. That is evident from the very names of their organizations: KKK, Skinheads, white supremacists, black power, Black Lives Matter, Black Congressional Caucus, etc. The very thing that Dylann Roof wanted to happen as a result of his action at Mother Emanuel is coming to pass.

This will not change by laws or words but by changing hearts.
