Letters: Help accelerate end of breast cancer
Approximately 40,000 people die of breast cancer every year in the United States, a number that has not changed significantly in more than 20 years. As the daughter of a woman with breast cancer, I know first-hand how devastating this disease can be.
The Accelerating the End of Breast Cancer Act does not require additional federal funding, and would leverage the nation’s existing investments in breast cancer to accelerate progress already made toward ending the disease.
Thank you to Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott and Rep. Joe Wilson for supporting this legislation.
I encourage all members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee to send HR.1197 to the House for a vote. We need this bill so future generations can live without fear of dying from the disease.
