Letters: Gun ad showed appalling judgment
I was appalled by the lack of judgment involved in the Columbia Airport allowing ads touting guns, using the tag line “Yeah, we Carry.” How is it appropriate to advertise weaponry in an airport when an individual is not allowed to carry a fingernail file onto a flight?
Doesn’t this seem insensitive in light of all the carnage in this country due to guns? When will we wake up to see that guns are not the solution but rather the problem? Gun deaths are 25 times higher here than in other developed countries. Will we ever learn?
