Letters: Thanks to Rick Reames for looking out for Richland taxpayers
It was wrong for James Felder to attack Rick Reames in the manner he did in his Aug. 1 column, “Rick Reames’ long quest to undermine penny transportation tax.” Instead, we should thank Mr. Reames for looking out for the taxpayers.
One Saturday morning as I was dodging potholes on Summit Parkway, I saw a group of women dancing around waving signs that said “Your Penny Tax at Work.” I wondered what they meant until a few weeks later, when I saw workers enlarging an intersection to make it a little easier to get out of a side road leading to a residential area.
This made me wonder who must live down this road, because the work certainly was not helping the greater number of people.
