Letters: 2 ways you can make Election Day smoother
With another general election coming up in November, I’m looking forward to participating as a poll manager again this year. I could use some help, to make the voting process work better.
If you have the time, I would highly recommend working at the polls. You get to meet your neighbors and be a part of a historical election, and you are compensated for your time.
If you cannot work the election, you can still help. Apply for an absentee ballet, and keep the lines shorter. It is easier to qualify for than you think, and it will be sent right to your house. One way or another, vote, and if you do go to the polls, have patience with the people working there. We want things to go smoothly as much as anyone, but things don’t always go as planned.
