Letters: Stop driving like an idiot ... or something like that

When are all drivers going to learn that the directional device on the steering wheel is not just an extra but that it was installed to indicate when you are going to make a turn? There would be fewer rear-end accidents if drivers would have the courtesy to indicate their intentions.

Likewise, there is a purpose for stop signs: They signal that a driver should come to a stop. A full stop, not a rolling stop.

There are entirely too many distractions. Driving is a full-time privilege.

Pay attention. There are others involved.
