WLTX sports anchor moving on to new TV market

WLTX sports anchor Alyssa Lang is headed to the Sunshine State.

Lang is leaving the Columbia market later this month to be part of the First Coast News team in Jacksonville, Fla.

Lang is a 2015 University of South Carolina graduate. She started at WLTX in 2013 as an intern and worked her way up to a sports anchor role.

A New York Jets fan, Lang will be a sports reporter/anchor for the Jacksonville station. She starts her new job the first week of May.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in an NFL city and live 15 minutes from the beach,” Lang wrote on Facebook.
