Tigers out front for Conway receiver

WR Bryan Edwards of Conway, one of the bright stars in the 2016 class in South Carolina, has strong family ties to Clemson and has the Tigers at the top of his short list right now.

"Top of my list would be Clemson," Edwards said. "Then it's USC and Florida. I'm still pretty wide open."

Edwards' grandfather played for Clemson and his sister is a student there. He's been there for games and already has a good feeling for the environment.

"It's the coaching staff, the people and the community, it all runs together," Edwards said. "Those people are family down there. Everything is Clemson football and it's just a fun place."

Neither Clemson nor USC has been in to see Edwards this recruiting period but he's expecting the Gamecocks Steve Spurrier Jr. in soon. He's not heard from his Clemson recruiter Danny Pearman yet about a visit.

Edwards also holds offers from Virginia Tech, Florida, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Kentucky, and he's hearing from UCLA, NC State and Tennessee. He wants to make his decision during his senior season or soon afterwards.
