Tom Brady heaps praise on Deshaun Watson

Deshaun Watson made it known during his time at Clemson that he is a big fan of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

On Wednesday, Brady told reporters that he is also a fan of Watson. The Patriots and Texans are holding joint practices in West Virginia.

“He had such a great college career and got picked by a great team,” Brady said. “Watching him play, he’s got a great future. He’s got all the ability, and it was great to meet him.”

Brady added that he watched Watson play for the Tigers on several occasions.

“He’s had so many great games,” Brady said. “Pro football players watch a lot of college players because Saturday nights we’re at the hotel, and Clemson was on a lot and obviously they won a bunch of big games. It was great to meet him.”

Watson said that he really enjoyed finally being able to meet Brady.

“It’s always good to be able to learn and watch a guy like Tom Brady,” Watson said. “It was a good talk.”

The Texans and Patriots will play a preseason game Saturday night in Houston.
