Tigers defensive back Amir Trapp is set to transfer, Clemson confirmed Monday afternoon.

The redshirt sophomore attended Daniel High and is a former three-star recruit.

Trapp played in 10 games and played 57 snaps this season while recording two tackles.

His most significant action came when he played 18 snaps against The Citadel and 17 snaps in the opener against Kent State.

Trapp redshirted in 2015 before recording four tackles in 36 snaps while appearing in four games in 2016.

His father James was a defensive back at Clemson from 1989-92 before playing 11 years in the NFL.
