Recruiting notebook: Clemson offers Georgia lineman

Clemson put out another 2016 offer this week and it went to offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum Jr. (6-2 258) of Powder Springs, Ga.

Anchrum also holds offers from Wake Forest, Syracuse, Nebraska, Illinois, Georgia, Colorado, Boston College, Arizona State and others.

▪ Clemson and USC target DL Antwuan Jackson of Ellenwood, GA is getting close on making a commitment and it appears the Tigers and Gamecocks won’t factor into his final decision. He visited Auburn on Saturday, his 10th visit with the Tigers. Georgia has also been strong with him.

▪ Clemson offered 2017 OL Jonah Melton of Mebane, N.C.

▪ Class of 2018 DB Tyreke Johnson of Jacksonville will visit UNC Tuesday and will visit Clemson and USC Wednesday.

▪ Clemson basketball target 6-6 De’Riante Jenkins of Orlando was offered by Indiana.
