Final thoughts, expert predictions, betting line for Clemson vs Ohio State
When Clemson and Ohio State met in the Fiesta Bowl three years ago, the Buckeyes didn’t run a play in the red-zone and were shut out 31-0.
Don’t expect that to be the case this time around.
There should be plenty of points scored at State Farm Stadium today as these are two of the best offenses in the country, filled with talented playmakers.
Clemson has scored at least 38 points in eight consecutive games and is led by Trevor Lawrence at quarterback, who has 20 touchdowns an no interceptions in his past six games.
Ohio State leads the nation in scoring, averaging 48.7 points per game, and is led by Heisman finalist Justin Fields at quarterback. The sophomore has accounted for 50 touchdowns and one interception on the year.
Both teams have talented defenses, but the offenses might just be too good.
Clemson is favored by 2.5 points, according to latest betting line from Las Vegas sportsbooks.
“Money rolling in on Clemson at Caesars Sportsbook,” ESPN gambling writer David Purdum tweeted this afternoon.
The over-under for the game is 63 points. Don’t be surprised if the game sails over, with Clemson pulling out a high-scoring victory.
